Brief info
Kayode Omoregie is a Faculty in finance and strategy at the Lagos Business School. He was formerly the Academic Director of the International Management Programme (IMP), inaugural chairman of the Assurance of Learning (AOL), Committee and deputy chairman of the Curriculum Development and Assurance of Learning Committee.
His research areas include ethics in financial decisions, corporate financial intelligence and performance, executive compensation and corporate performance, evaluation of SME credit default risk and financing absorptive capacity, multi-creditor resolution of corporate insolvency and financial strategy and policy analysis. He has published extensively in academic and professional journals in these areas, and presented papers in local and international academic and professional conferences.
Kayode is currently on the board of the governing council of the Business Recovery and Insolvency Practitioners Association of Nigeria (BRIPAN), and is a member of the board of the Corporate Re-engineering and Insolvency Faculty of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN). He was formerly on the board of the Public Practice Section (PPS) of ICAN, and has served on various committees of the institute.
He has over 25 years of experience in audit, taxation, business advisory, corporate finance, corporate restructuring and insolvency practice, across various industries and with various firms, including Arthur Andersen (now KPMG Professional Services), Kiwi Nigeria Plc., (A Sara Lee Chicago Company), and Chartered Aluminium Plc., where he was the Finance Director. He has also served in executive and non-executive capacities on the board of directors of some corporations in Nigeria. He was the founding and senior partner of Osaretin Omoregie & Co (Chartered Accountants) and the CEO/ Principal Consultant of Resource Edge Advisory Partners, a Corporate Finance, Strategy and Performance Advisory firm.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Lagos, Nigeria, and his MBA from the prestigious Lagos Business School. He is an alumnus of the IESE Business School, Barcelona, Spain, and the University of Stellenbosch Business School in South Africa. Kayode is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN), and the Business Recovery and Insolvency Practitioners Association of Nigeria (BRIPAN). He is also a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered), (NIM), the Society of Corporate Governance of Nigeria (SCGN) and a member of the International Association of Restructuring, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Professionals (INSOL)
