Lagos Business School Alumni Association gets new President and Vice President

We extend warm congratulations to the MD/CEO, Unified Payments, Mr Agada Apochi, on his appointment as the new President of the Lagos Business School Alumni Association and Mrs Owen Omogiafo, President and Group CEO of Transcorp, on her appointment as the new Alumni Vice President. Mrs Uzoma Dalhatu, Assistant Company Secretary, Old Mutual Nigeria was re-appointed as the Secretary of the Association. The exclusive LBSAA hand-over ceremony held on Wednesday 29 June 2022 at Lagos Oriental Hotel. The Dean, Lagos Business School, Chris Ogbechie, in his welcome speech, gave thanks to the association for their enormous support through the unprecedented impact the global Covid-19 pandemic had on the institution.

Delivering his farewell speech, the outgoing president, MD/CEO BusinessDay Media, Mr Frank Aigbogun, highlighted significant achievements made possible by the commitment of the LBSAA members. He thanked the members for giving him the opportunity to serve and commended LBS for the resilience exhibited during the pandemic as well as ranking #1 in Africa and #41 worldwide on the Financial Times 2022 Executive Education ranking “A testament to the great work Lagos Business School is doing in advancing the practice of management in Africa and the world”.

During his remark, the new Alumni President, Mr Agada Apochi, outlined his vision for the next two years, the commitment to the continuation of CSR initiatives & projects and emphasised the need for strengthened partnerships in creating a more enabling environment for businesses in Nigeria. He also expressed gratitude to the members for their support and optimism for the future.
