The understanding of waste and waste management, in recent times, has evolved. The realities of waste, in the Circular Economy perspective, are not just materials disposed of and waiting to be discomposed, but valuable to generating wealth and ensuring a sustainable world.
The webinar brought together professionals, recyclers, environment enthusiasts, and various stakeholders examine the challenges, opportunities, and value inherent in textile waste management.
The Special remark was delivered by Abel Neering, the Vice consul (Economic Affairs) Consulate General of the Kingdom of Netherlands in Lagos, Nigeria.
During the webinar, Elmar Stroomer gave a presentation on the Africa Collect Textiles’ project in Kenya and shared plans to commence the pilot phase of the project in Lagos, Nigeria.
